Seems like the month of May always brings with it that sense of transition into the summer feeling.  That of beach trips, hotter-longer days, and green grass.  Also with this time comes graduations of all kinds!  We were with a great family last night taking pictures of their home to list and the discussion came up of their son graduating.

This transitions always seem to take a toll on us.  Sometimes good, sometimes not so good.  Regardless, the transitions bring with them a new wind that propels us to seek out, once again, the best within us.

Don’t let this season pass you by.  Look again at maybe those ‘new years resolutions’.  Let today be a new day to start them again.  Let this summer season be YOUR new season!

In Carly and I’s journeys throughout the day, we have to drive…A LOT!  Sometimes we are showing properties all around Johnson City, Kingsport, or even Bristol for hours.   Translation…we buy gas.  I’m fairly positive we are personally responsible for sponsoring a whole village in the middle east.  All this is to say, we are feeling the gas prices like everyone else.  But in this financial struggle, lets not focus on the downside of the prices, rather the upside of the freedom we have in this country to drive our own vehicles.  If you think about it, most families have at least one car if not two or even three!  What a privilege it is to live in the place and time that we do.  Let us take advantage to his privilege today and give someone a ride who needs it.  Or take a gift to someone who is deserving.  Let’s us our freedom to help others!   Today, think of some ways you can use your vehicle as a tool to help others.

We are currently in the middle of one of the opportune times in our generation and possibly the generation before us.   If we are constantly glued to the radio or tv news programs, we will be short to miss it.  It is…investment property!

I know the word investment makes one cringe as much as someone taking nails down a chalk board after our current economic debacle, but with this downfall comes opportunities and the door is WIDE open to help your family’s future.

If chosen correctly, investment properties can give you a passive income that can sustain your family.  They are much more stable than the stock market, and its something you can see an touch!

We’ll continue this discussion with other posts!  Until then, check out our website for new listings

Staging Your Home!

This concept is often misunderstood. Here’s a simple video about staging your home to sell!

The focus of staging is to declutter and depersonalize the house so that potential buyers can readily imagine themselves living there.

This might mean some landscape improvements to enhance curb appeal, putting some furniture in storage, moving items so that there is a clear path into each room, taking down the family photos and re-painting as necessary.

A properly staged house can result in a quicker sale and a gain of as much as 1% on the sale of the average house.

And the best part is that you don’t have to guess what will make your house more appealing to buyers. Your real estate agent can arrange an appointment with a stager to make sure your house shines in comparison to the competition.

Hope everyone is having a great week. We have been on many appointments this week, and have a couple houses going on the market! Stay tuned!
